Leaf:
6 in. long, 4 in. wide 6 pair of veins. Leaf center color is dark green with a 5/8 in. wide yellow gold margin. Very shiny on top, very shiny underneath; Leaf shape is ovate with a cordate base .

Scape:
26 inches high. Has no leafy bracts.

Flower:
Color is violet, In Ohio: bloom peaks on July .

Seed:
viable.

Clump History:
The clump measured was growing in Ohio.

Notable Characteristics:
wide yellow margin of variable width turns creamy white and some slight streaking toward the midrib, 22 flowers per scape
