Plant:
42 inch diameter, 18 inches high. Compact Mound-like Prefers 35% shade.

Leaf:
6 - 9 in. long, 4 - 5 in. wide 9 to 10 pair of moderate veins. Leaf center color is blue green with a .01 in. wide smooth pure white margin. Slightly shiny on top, glaucous bloom underneath; Leaf appearance is lightly cupped heavy substance . Leaf shape is ovate with a cordate base .

Scape:
30 inches high.

Flower:
Color is lavender, nonfragrant; infertile. In Bellville, Ohio: Bloom starts mid July finishes early August . .

Clump History:
The clump measured was 30 years old, growing in Bellville, Ohio.

Notable Characteristics:
distinct very small white hair line on the side edge of the leaves, very hardy, old time favorite
